It seems the rhetoric today is to be negative….fine fault in everything…don’t see any good in anything!
Well, God is good and I’m gonna praise him!
I’m not on that worldly Christian bandwagon of putting people down and complaining about everything that’s wrong in America.
I’m Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
At Smithfield First P.H Church, we proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, the truth that sets us free. We don’t preach/teach worldly philosophies, nor do we get involved in politics.
We preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified. We preach/teach the Kingdom of God. Jesus did not come to condemn…because the world has already been assigned to the judgment of Fire…but He came to save us from condemnation, for all who will believe in Him.
So many today need to get the beam out of their own eye!
Matthew 23:24 (KJV) [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Matthew 7:4 (KJV)
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?
The bible teaches us who are the saved to rejoice in the Lord always. A true christian walking in fellowship with God is not of this world and shouldn’t be complaining at all.
Philippians 2:14-16 (KJV)
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
We have the light for those in darkness. We have the Word of Life for those who are dead.
We Christians should be alive proclaiming the good news everyday and always!
Seize the day and do something good! Jesus is Worthy!
Blessings and Love to Everyone!

I have recently moved back to Smithfield. For several years I lived in the Washington DC area while working at the Pentagon. I’m 85 years old, weak in body but strong in my love for my Lord. I grew up in Falcon, NC. My parents were missionaries to China after Dad’s retirement from working. Its not easy for me to drive at this point in life but I would love to visit your church soon. My son David looks after me and even though his job takes him to different states he stays in touch daily. Right now he works at Ft Bragg so he is able to be with me. I plan on visiting your church soon.
Hi sister, I don’t know if I got back with you…but I hope you are doing well. We pray blessings in Jesus name and it would be great to see you at church soon.
Blessings in Christ,
Pastor Banks
