Will you trust Jesus or Yourself?
So many will not surrender their life to Jesus Christ because they think that they already know what is best for themselves. They think that they will miss out on something that they want to do or some pleasure they might not get to experience. But this is so dangerous to the point that they may lose out on eternal salvation and all that God has in store for them.
What so many don’t understand…that is those who have not received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, is that they are depending on themselves for their own life and future. They are thinking that they know what is best for themselves and that God really doesn’t love them. They are failing to trust in someone greater than themselves and to believe that God truly loves them desiring what is best for them.
The greatest man who has ever lived and walked on earth is the Lord Jesus Christ. He claimed to be sent by God and that he was the Son of God. He said that God loves us so much that he sent his only begotten Son into the world to save us. Jesus said that the thief came to steal, kill, and destroy…but I am come that they may have life and to have it abundantly.
The question remains as to whom will we trust. It is clear to me that Jesus is greater than myself and I believe what He says is true. God does love us and Jesus is the proof of His love for us. We must decide on who knows what is best for us now and in the future.
John 3:16-18 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Romans 5:6-8 (KJV)
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:9-10 (KJV)
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
1 John 4:9-10 (KJV)
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (KJV)
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And [that] he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Hebrews 9:27-28 (KJV)
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
